Entry for October 20, 2008 - Chateau Palmer Vertical
I spent the night in Manhattan tonight at the Harvard Club and attended a meeting of the Commanderie de Bordeaux at Restaurant Daniel. Food was prepared to pair with a vertical tasting of several years of wine from Chateau Palmer (a third growth from Bordeaux). The oldest wine we drank was from 1966 and it was fantastic. The picture above is one of the courses. All of the courses were as well presented...tasted as good as they looked...and paired really well with the wines we were drinking.
