Today we had another wine class...and focused on the Premier Cru wines from the cote de nuits. As you can see from the picture...this is serious business. We have tasting charts, tasting glasses, research materials and...wait...where is the bucket to spit the wine out into???

OK...sometimes the wines are so good...like tonight...that we actually swallow the wines instead of just swishing them around and spitting them out. One of the wines we tasted was a Chambolle-Musigny "les Charmes" 2004 from Alex Gambal. I recently became a "farmer/partner" with Alex and was happy to have one of his wines to share with the wine group. It was a little young...but one of the better tasting wines of the night.
