Today my local wine group received its annual shipment of wine from France. This is our once a year opportunity to stock our personal wine cellars with our favorite wines from our favorite producers. Most of these producers are unknown in the U.S. which makes their wines all that more special to be sitting in our wine cellars waiting for that glorious day that they will be called upon to be the object of affection at a wine tasting or cocktail party, the perfect compliment to a carefully prepared meal or the gentle friend that is more than happy to share time spent in front of a crackling fireplace...lost in thoughts.
