Happy New Year! Once again I find myself way behind on keeping this blog up to date. A lot has happened since Christmas. Unfortunately, most of the pictures of the things that have happened are on my new phone...and I have lost the cord that connects the cord to my computer. One is on the way and I will post them in the next few days. I had a great Christmas...hope you did as well. Stayed home this year...which is always better than traveling. As usual I ate too many holiday cookies and added the weight to show for it...but I am back on the healthy living track and the pounds are already coming off. New Year's was spent at a local restaurant...the Linklaen House...great food and a great band...formal event...white tie. Pictures to come in the next few days. New Year's day we took off for Lake Placid for three days and two nights...picture above is me on Round Pond. We took a family hike up to this beautiful spot. Plenty of stuff to report about that trip...will get to it later. January 3rd I attended the holiday dinner of one of my wine groups...again at the Linklaen House..and again fantastic (more to come on this as well). And two nights ago...yet another wine dinner with my small local wine group...an Italian theme...with great Italian wines and a super dinner cooked by one of our members...veal shank...WOW!!! The next day I had to go for a check-up at my doctor...draw some blood and check the cholesterol level. Oh boy...probably not going to look good after the Italian night. Today I am writing in a hurry because I am off to Portland, ME for the night and an early meeting with a customer tomorrow. Looking forward to a night in Portland. I have not been there since the mid-80's. And tomorrow night...back to Syracuse for a fund raiser at the zoo. That should be a photographic event. Sorry for the quick catch-up. More to come soon.
