While in Lake Placid last week we stumbled on a Moose. Hard to see from this picture...but if you download the picture and zoom in...you can see this female moose a little better. This is the first time I have seen a moose in the Adirondacks. There are about 600 of them in the state. I would hate to hit one with a car. They are a protected species in NY. Some day we may be able to hunt them. That will be interesting.
