I love my wife dearly...but she drives too fast. Our driveway is about a quarter mile long with one sharp bend in it...and a blind bend at that. If you happen to be coming up the driveway when she is coming down...or coming down while she is coming up...that blind bend can be quite exciting for all involved. My Uncle's company has spent a qood amount of time doing excavating work at my home over the past couple of years...and his employees are scared to death of my wife when she is driving up and down the driveway. So they thought a nice gift for her would be a road sign that warned her to slow down at that blind curve.
The kids and I put the sign up last night...and we were all worried that she would be quite pissed when she saw it. But she laughed instead (it is good when we can laugh at our self). So the sign stays. It is nailed to a tree...so it will be interesting to see how the tree and the sign hold up over the years. How much higher will the sign be in the tree in 20 years? I have some trees along the driveway that have barbed wire a good 12 feet up in the air. That probably took more than 20 years to do. Anyway, I digress.
