Some people head South for Spring break...but for those of us that just can't get enough of the cold weather and snow...we head to the mountains. We spent three days climbing and hiking with our friends the McDonoughs. None of the excursions were too tough...a hike up Owl's Head...a visit to Round Pond and up and down Mt. Jo. The weather was great...sunny and clear...so we had great views of the still sno-capped high peaks. Any climbing over 3,000 ft means snow shoes are mandatory...so we stayed well below that elevation. We stayed at the Mirror Lake Inn...always fabulous.
